Summary
Rio and Mamoru were childhood buddies. Though they are aware of one other’s emotions, their uncertain and vague relationship causes them to grow hopeless. Rio unintentionally takes part in a beauty pageant and finds herself engaged in idol activities. Mamoru is cautioned that Rio is a prize for “Sacrifice,” a means of pass-through entertainment for the strong and black-hearted. She chooses to join involved as a part-time participant in order to defend Rio, but she cannot tell him her actual status.
